Loyal & Loved (“we,” “us,” “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have over it. We will never sell your personal data.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly

• Your email address:collected at checkout, used to deliver your tribute and send a copy of the memorial link.
• Your pet’s information:name, species, breed, years, and the answers you provide to our nine intake questions. This is used solely to generate your tribute.

Payment information

All payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number, CVV, or full payment details on our servers. We receive only a confirmation of successful payment and a customer reference from Stripe.

Information collected automatically

• Usage data:Vercel (our hosting provider) may collect standard server logs including IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited.
• No tracking cookies:We do not use advertising cookies, third-party trackers, or behavioral analytics tools.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To generate your personalized pet tribute using Anthropic’s AI.
• To deliver your tribute and memorial page link via email.
• To allow you to access your tributes via the dashboard using your email address.
• To process refund requests or rewrite requests if you contact us.
• To improve our service:we may review anonymized tribute output to evaluate quality.

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose not listed above.

3. Third-Party Services

We share data with the following services only as necessary to deliver our Service:

• Stripe:Payment processing. Subject to Stripe’s Privacy Policy.
• Anthropic:AI tribute generation. Your pet’s information is sent to Anthropic’s API to generate the tribute text. Subject to Anthropic’s Privacy Policy.
• Supabase:Database storage for tribute records. Data is stored in the United States.
• Resend:Transactional email delivery of your tribute link.
• Vercel:Website hosting and infrastructure.

We do not sell data to any third party. We do not share data with advertisers.

4. Data Retention

We retain your tribute and email address for as long as the Service is active and your memorial page is live. If you request deletion of your data, we will remove your tribute record and email address from our systems within 30 days.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data (“right to be forgotten”).
• Withdraw consent at any time (where processing is based on consent).

6. Children’s Privacy

Our Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

7. Data Security

We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), secure database access controls, and API key management. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we take reasonable precautions to protect your information.

8. California Residents (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete it, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information.
